How many can fit in a Limo?

How many can fit in a limo?

When renting a limousine, there are many things to take into account. Someone who is shopping for limo service may not ask some very important questions. When coordinating an evening out or a wine tour for a group, often some details will get assumed and missed.

Is Your Limo BIG Enough?

No doubt, one of the most frequent question we receive at Aadvanced Limousines is…

“How many people can fit in one of your limos?”

That’s not an easy question to answer – without more information.  It’s not like calling your favorite pizza place and asking them how many slices are in a pizza.  If you don’t also know the SIZE of the pizza (or our case, the size and/or type of the limo), the question is not going to help you figure out which one is right for you.

We offer several sizes of Limousine options, they can be seen here.

What is important to know, is that legally you can NOT overload the Limousine. We are regulated by the DOT on passenger capacity and there are also some licensing concerns with the Chauffeur. While it may seem easy to invite an 11th passenger to join your group of 10 in a 10 passenger Limousine it just can’t happen. If you find yourself in a situation where you have a Limo reservation for a certain size and need to change it, just call and ask. You should also take this into consideration when booking, so upon reserving you can ask about an anticipated sell out, or other options should you need to edit or alter the ride details. Our staff can be reached 24/7 at 317-716-1201 and would enjoy talking to you about all of the options we offer.

Getting back to our pizza place example… if they offer an 18-inch pizza, it doesn’t matter if they cut it into 10 slices or 30, it’s still the same amount of pizza. And that’s the same story with a limousine… the passenger capacity depends entirely on which limousine you’re asking about, and the layout and configuration of that limousine was built.

So what do we suggest you do when you call for limo service?  The best thing to do is to inform them that you need “a limousine for 12 people” (or however many folks you expect to have in your party), followed by “what are my options?” Let the experts check availability. It is helpful if you have reviewed the fleet options and familiar with the style you like. Ours can be seen here

This will let our customer service representative know exactly what he/she needs to do to help you choose. They can then discuss the various limousine types, capacities, and configurations that will work for your group and service type. You will obtain the information you need to make the most informed choice – so you won’t end up with a limo that’s either too small or one that’s much bigger than you require. If you aren’t ready to secure the reservation yet, ask us to email you quote, so you have the info readily available to discuss amongst your group.

So once you’ve picked the ideal limo for your event, and the big night has arrived, maybe at some point in the evening you can ask your chauffeur to stop for pizza, and offer him a slice.  Because we all know how rude it is to fill a car with the smell of delicious pizza, and then keep it all to yourself!
